Dr Zainab Imam

Dr. Zainab Imam earned her medical degree from the University of Ibadan in 1991 and trained in General Practice before retraining in Psychiatry in the UK, where she obtained her CCT in General Adult Psychiatry. With nearly 20 years of psychiatric practice, she is Division Chief of Women’s Mental Health and Training Director for the Perinatal Psychiatry Fellowship at Sidra Medicine, Qatar. A Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, she co-founded the Foundation for Refugees Economic Empowerment and serves as trustee for Nigeria’s IDP Diaspora Support Group. She is married with four children and a granddaughter.
