(A Student Ambassador Programme to Build the Next Generation of Health Advocates Across Nigerian Campuses)

CALL FOR APPLICATION

Nigeria Health Watch is pleased to announce the launch of the Nigeria Health Watchers Network, a four-month student ambassador programme designed to equip university students across Nigeria with practical skills in health advocacy, communication, leadership, and public engagement. Applications for the inaugural cohort open today, 17 July 2026, and close on 29 July 2026.

About the Nigeria Health Watchers Network

The programme brings together undergraduate and postgraduate students studying medicine, nursing, pharmacy, public health, health sciences, health policy, and related disciplines to learn from public health experts, strengthen their advocacy and communication skills, and contribute to conversations that promote better health outcomes in Nigeria. Participants will take part in mentorship, virtual learning sessions, collaborative projects, and thought leadership opportunities, while gaining practical exposure to Nigeria Health Watch’s work. Those who successfully complete the programme will receive a certificate of completion and join the Nigeria Health Watchers alumni network.

Nigeria’s health future will be shaped by informed citizens who care enough to speak up for better health and leadership. Eligibility

The programme is open to students enrolled in accredited Nigerian universities and polytechnics who are passionate about health, communication, leadership, and creating positive change within their communities. The inaugural cohort will run from August to December 2026.

The Nigeria Health Watchers Network reflects Nigeria Health Watch’s commitment to supporting young people as informed voices for better health and stronger communities across Nigeria.

How to Apply
